Comarch and Makman Forge Strategic Partnership to Accelerate Autonomous Networks and AIOps Adoption in Telco

Makman Technology Consulting, a TM Forum-certified leader in global transformation consultancy specializing in Minimum Viable Transformation (MVT), autonomous networks, and AIOps readiness, has signed a strategic partnership with Comarch. Together, they will collaborate on a proof of concept (PoC) and a pilot project aimed at a zero-touch network as a service (NaaS) transformation in Libya. This collaboration marks a new milestone in advancing autonomy and operational excellence for communication service providers (CSPs) in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
The Makman-Comarch partnership: A complementary fit for modern telcos
Makman will bring its expertise and proven frameworks to help define transformation roadmaps and ensure alignment between strategy and execution. The company will also identify high-impact starting points for regional CSPs’ autonomy and AI transformation programs, and co-create next-generation solutions in areas such as AIOps, digital employees, and zero-touch operations.
The project will also leverage Comarch’s renowned operations support system (OSS) products, including Service Order Management, Service Inventory, and Performance Management. The goal is to reduce operational fragmentation, automate network resource orchestration, and enhance the ability to deliver unique, competitive services in Libya.
"Our collaboration will have a pronounced impact on the way telecom operators oversee their networks," said Paweł Workiewicz, Chief Commercial Officer of the Telecommunications Division at Comarch. "We want to show how automation and advanced orchestration can address today's industry challenges and facilitate strategic growth for operators in Africa. We aim to achieve this by fusing our state-of-the-art OSS solutions with Makman’s expertise in the African market and our companies’ extensive understanding of TM Forum® standards."
This first phase of the project will implement Comarch’s OSS solutions to address CSPs operational challenges in Libya, including the lack of automation tools and fragmented technological solutions. Enabling end-to-end customer actions, enhancing inventory control, and implementing effective planning and design tools are some of the main objectives of this initiative. Additionally, the PoC and pilot projects will serve as a basis for similar transformations at other African telecom providers.
“We are excited to partner with Comarch in this important mission,” said Zackaria Farhat, VP of Growth and Partnerships at Makman. “Our strengths in strategic advisory and transformation design complement Comarch’s world-class OSS/BSS product stack. Together, we’ll enable operators to transition from complexity to clarity and from manual to autonomous.”
A shared vision for autonomy and AI-driven operations
Although the partnership will start in Libya, its ultimate goal is to create a strong framework for autonomous networks globally. Makman's consulting experience and Comarch's global experience guarantee that this collaboration is well-positioned to bring about significant change in the telecom sector.
